Aileen Scott Hayworth, Owner
I have always loved food and loved to cook. I learned to cook at a very early age. My earliest memory is being taught by my dad how to make an oil & red wine vinaigrette. I couldn’t have been more than six years old. After that, I was always in the kitchen watching and learning from such wonderful teachers — my mom, grandmothers, and aunts. Years later, my friends told me I should go to culinary school. Instead of going to school, I married a chef and now we have three wonderful kids and our own restaurant — who could ask for anything more?
A little about me specifically: I was born in Puerto Rico and have lived all up and down the east coast. I am a Penn State grad who definitely bleeds blue and white. I moved to the Triangle immediately after graduation and have been here ever since — I love it here! My professional background is in Human Resources and Staffing. By incorporating that background I plan on making Worth It Café the place where people want to work and where people want to eat.
